Beschreibung

A stretch jump is a simple, yet elegant gymnastics skill often used in routines as a connecting or finishing move. In a stretch jump, the gymnast jumps straight up into the air from a standing position or while moving, fully extending their body into a straight line. The arms reach upward, aligning with the ears, and the legs remain together and straight, with toes pointed. The gymnast's core should remain tight, and the entire body should demonstrate full extension to create a clean, elongated look. The jump concludes with a controlled landing, knees slightly bent to absorb impact, and the body returns to a neutral standing position.

The primary goal of the stretch jump is to showcase excellent posture, body control, and balance. Though it may appear simple, precision in body alignment and landing is key to executing a perfect stretch jump.
